Like many, I cut my teeth on floral photography. It’s a great place to learn the finer points of the art. Unlike taking pictures of people, you don’t need to worry about a smile or a subject getting tired. Flowers are infinitely patient. Sports photography requires attention to shutter speed and a variety of other factors. For the most part, with flowers ya just point and shoot. Some of these pictures were taken quite some time ago and while the plants they come from are almost quite certainly dead, their bright colors live on. Lastly, just getting out in nature is much healthier than just sitting on the couch.
