Panorama pictures are normally produced in one of three ways.
The first is having an obscenely priced fisheye lens and a lot of time in Photoshop using Puppet Warp. I don’t recommend this option.
The second is to use the Photo Merge feature in Adobe Bridge. With this method, you take side by side photographs and then splice them together. It’s not too difficult and does a decent job of maintaining an appropriate aspect ratio.
Lastly, the third option, buy an iPhone which has a neat Panorama feature built in – very easy and impressive. Most of the shots in this gallery were done using the latter two methods.
In general, looking at panorama pictures at a small scale is pretty unimpressive. I’d suggest that if you open these pics, that you enlarge them even beyond the size of your screen and then scroll around the image. It’s only when you do that that you get a good perspective and an appreciation for the art form.
